I think you are too critical of the SNPs record. Child poverty is off the scale in the north of England. 20 years ago, Scotland was tracking with that, now it’s doing as well or better than the south of England. That’s the result of long term commitment and policy choices, much of it quite small scale. Educational attainment is also improving and the attainment gap is also narrower than anywhere else in the UK. A and E waiting times are also really a lot better.

The child poverty stats need to be seen in a context of (relative) household poverty which is, if anything, rising slightly (1.07m). The child payment is clearly a good thing (though now frozen). I don't buy your attainment analysis:

Yes - astronomical energy bills thanks to Westminster privatising energy are driving a lot of families into poverty regardless. But I think the comparison with the rest of the UK is important - the UK is really going in the wrong direction on that metric.

As I say it’s doing better than it would be without devolution. Without that it wouid certainly be tracking with the North of England. Brexit has killed the Tory party and Reform have moved on from the EU to a new scapegoat - immigrants. That is now being entertained by the Labour Party just the same way they entertained. all the Brexit nonsense.
